Damage Reverence—VST effect for Windows only
Reverence is a plate reverb simulation inspired by vintage digital
hardware. It faithfully recreates the thick sonic character
and easy-to-use interface of those early units, while providing the low
noise floor and
big headroom inherent in modern software-based reverb.
Perfect
for synths, vocals, and guitar, Reverence is also capable of
creating the unusual effects that are typical of vintage hardware
units. Featuring a sophisticated and well-tuned reverb
algorithm, Reverence has a much lower CPU load than convolution
reverbs, and can be used
as either a send or insert effect.
When you're tired of
putting your instruments in the same virtual space as everyone else using
me-too impulse-response-based reverbs,
treat your tracks with a little Reverence.

Sound Examples
Demo # 1
This demonstrates three distinctly different settings of
Reverence, using Logic's Sculpture synthesizer as source material.
First, you hear the dry synth. Then, the mix control is automated up
to 60%, for a short plate sound. Then the time and mix are brought
up, and finally the low RT Contour is brought to x1.5, and the high
RT Contour is brought to x.25, while the room size is increased to
maximum, for a long, dark plate sound.
Demo # 2
This demo uses a native American vocal loop. Again, the
dry loop plays first. This is followed by a subtle short
plate, then a long plate with a lot of filter shaping,
and finally the same settings with the room size cranked
wide open.
