• Cakewalk Problem Report Form

We at Cakewalk work hard to provide you with the best products possible. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, the occasional defect does slip though the cracks and into a release. It is very important for us to resolve these issues, whether it be in a patch/update or in a future version.

If you think you have found a defect in a Cakewalk application, please help us to better understand your experience by filling out the form below. Please be sure to contact our Technical Support Department and visit our FAQ first, to ensure that the issue is not a minor configuration problem or user-error. Thank you.

Problem Summary: The problem summary is a one line summary of the defect. Limited to 80 characters.

Expected Result: The expected result is what you expect the outcome of the recipe listed in the description to be. This should always be included, even if it seems painfully obvious what the expected behavior is. What is crystal clear to you, may not be to us.
Actual Result: The actual result is the easiest part of a defect report to write. Simply report how the application behaves when the steps from the description are followed. What is important here is detail, detail, detail.

Attachment: An extremely important aspect of defect reporting is submitting an example project file that demonstrates the problem along with the relevant system configuration files. You can include your aud.ini, ttsseq.ini and a System Info file (Windows, Mac) that describes your hardware configuration.  It's important to provide a log (Windows, Mac) if your problem involves a crash. If there are multiple files please zip them and send us the single zip file.

After submitting you will be provided with a Reference Number and a link to our YouSendIt.com account, where you can upload your file.  Please include your Reference Number in the "Message" field.
