Cakewalk VST Adapter 4.4.0 Patch

The information in this article applies to:
  • Cakewalk VST Adapter
  • Project5

What do I need to know before I install the VST Adapter patch?

  • To install the VST Adapter 4.4.0 patch you must have VST Adapter version 4.3.0 or 4.3.1 or Project5 version 1.0.1 installed on your system.
  • There is a known issue with the VST Adapter version 4.4.0 and Project5 version 1.0.1: the meters in Project5 will stop working when a delay compensated effect is inserted. The workaround is to disable delay compensation for that effect (using the VST Adapter Wizard).
  • Registered owners of SONAR 3 do not need this update. To get the latest version, download and install the SONAR 3 Plug-in Patch.

Features added:

  • Delay Compensation- helps tracks stay in synch when using certain effect plugins from Voxengo, the original Sonitus VST suite and SIR. In addition to these plugins Delay Compensation should work automatically for any other plugins that requires it.
Fixes:
  • Problems with Voxengo VST plugins and the VST Adapter - Fixed by Delay Compensation feature.
  • Wrapped VSTs sometimes processed only one channel on stereo wave files
  • MDA Piano VST causes an error when scanned by the VST Adapter - You now get a warning and can force the scan of the plugin. It then may work within your DX host application. In the case of MDA Piano it now can be forced to be scanned and it works after scanning.
  • The Sub-Divide menu option does not add breaks to the VST menus. This option simply couldn't work so it was removed.
  • VST Adapter sometimes incorrectly reports wrapped plugins as "VST has not been correctly installed, please re-run the adapter".
  • VST Adapter scanned VST folders using DOS names instead of long names, sometimes resulting in some plugins not appearing in the host. All plugins previously effected by this should appear now.
  • Improved compatibility with DSP cards
